Do you supply the paint?

Yes! Our trade accounts enable huge savings over the normal retail cost of paint and you won’t have to do any running around when we need more.

Do I need to organise scaffolding?

We have our own mobile scaffolding as well as professional scaffold contractors to install scaffolding for the larger or tricky areas. Sorted!

Can you help with colour?

Yes! To thank you for choosing to work with us we will arrange a professional colour consultant to come to your home and help you make the right choice! (*offer applies when using Resene paints only)

What paints do you use?

In general we use and recommend Resene paints. We also have trade accounts with both Dulux and Porters paints and should you have a specific request or specification we are happy to accommodate. What we won’t use is low quality or inferior paint and products which compromise the quality and longevity of our work.

How soon can you start?

Generally speaking we usually have about a 2-3 week lead time for full exterior or interior house paints. When you receive your quote we will also give an indication of when we can start. There are always exceptions though so if you have a pressing deadline we can often make something work especially if it’s during winter months which is our quieter period.

Do you do both interior and exterior painting?

Yes! We have over 65 years combined experience in both interior and exterior painting.

Do you do the odd small job?

Full exterior and interior house painting is our specialty and where we can offer the very best service to our clients. For the odd small painting job a sole tradesman in your area would better serve your needs.

How about paint stripping of older homes?

Yes, we are accredited with Master Painters for safe lead-based paint removal which is reassurance that we have the training and experience to ensure the health and safety of both your family and our staff.

Do you offer any guarantee?

Yes. All our work is backed by Our 5 Star Guarantee and by choosing a Master Painter you are also eligible to apply for the 5 Year Workmanship Guarantee* exclusive to registered members such as us.

How many coats?

Our rule of thumb is however many coats are specified by the paint manufacturer is what we will apply because by doing anything less is to void your paint warranty. Generally this means a 3 coat system for new work and a 2 coat system for repaints.

Great all-in-one service as they organise the house wash and scaffolding themselves. Makes everything really easy as you only have to deal with one person. Communication was also great. The paint job was very neat and tidy. They finished painting the exterior of our two storey weatherboard home in a week and the team were friendly and considerate, and tidied up after they left. We contacted Auckland City Painters (ACP) after purchasing an apartment that needed freshening up. Even though it was only a short settlement and we do not live in Auckalnd they were able to complete the job soon after we took possession and on time before the next contractor required the keys. The work was all orgaised remotely with Jonathan who was great to deal with. Jonathan and Vic and their team were very professional and worked hard to get our job completed in a timely manner.We have an old weather board house with wooden joinery and the preparation prior to painting was exceptional. 100% positive experience with this great team. I was unable to be present but there was no need to worry! Floor tiles done perfectly and in minimum time. Kitchen demolition achieved faster than I would have supposed possible, creative solutions for disposal, and John even went beyond the call of duty by undertaking an extra trip to help out a collector with transport problems.Paint job for my apartment was carried out with expertise, good taste and meticulous attention to every detail.
